Foam type fire suppression system is mix of water and foam agent (Foam concentrate) for extinguishing fire. Fire suppression foam consists of foam, water, and air. After release a homogeneous foam blanket is generated and this foam blanket extinguishes flame by separating the flame source from the surface of ignition, suppressing vapors, cooling the surface, smothering and cutting off oxygen supply. Foam extinguishing agents are classified into Low, Medium and High expansion foam type, and installation is based on nature of hazard classification.
